Katherine Ruiz Joins Fishback Dominick

Katherine Ruiz joins Fishback Dominick as an Associate and will be practicing in the areas of government law, eminent domain and inverse condemnation. She brings a robust nine years of hands-on experience as a paralegal, including with the City Attorney’s Office of the City of Coral Gables. Ms. Ruiz offers clients notable experience with civil litigation and procedure matters before municipalities, including the drafting resolutions and ordinances.

A Florida native, she earned her J.D. from Florida A&M University College of Law in 2025 and is now in good standing as a member of the Florida Bar. Ms. Ruiz earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Florida International University (FIU) with a minor in Political Science, graduating magna cum laude.

Ms. Ruiz is a vigorous advocate for her clients and a passionate volunteer to bridge gaps in legal access for underserved individuals and organizations. Born and raised in Miami, she has made Orlando her home since 2022. Outside the office, she recharges with her two dogs and explores new cultures through travel and culinary experiences.
