Tempkins Achieves AV-Preeminent Attorney Rating

Martindale-Hubbell announced in 4Q 2025 that Fishback Dominick Partner Michael Tempkins has achieved an AV-Preeminent Peer Review Rating. This is the most prestigious attorney rating, awarded to only those lawyers who have the highest ethical standards, legal knowledge, and professional ability, as assessed by “a large number of the lawyer’s peers,” according to Martindale-Hubbell.

Martindale-Hubbell also designated Tempkins a ‘Silver Rated Client Champion’ in late 2025 for exceptional service based on client reviews.

“Michael has built an outstanding record of success defending against workers’ compensation and personal injury claims,” said Richard Geller, a Fishback Dominick equity partner. “His work in commercial litigation is also first-rate. The fact that his peers in the Bar—including attorneys he regularly opposes—have awarded him their highest confidential ratings through Martindale-Hubbell speaks volumes about his skill, professionalism, and reputation. Michael is truly an exceptional attorney.”

For more than 130 years, Martindale-Hubbell has evaluated attorneys for their legal abilities and ethical standards through a Peer Review Rating system. According to Columbia University, which houses Martindale-Hubbell’s archives, Fishback Dominick achieved an AV rating as a firm in the 1930s and continues to hold that distinction to this day. Tempkins is the eighth presently-practicing Fishback attorney to have achieved an AV-preeminent rating.
