Kimberly Kopp is board certified by the Florida Bar in City, County, and Local Government Law. She has a broad range of experience representing municipalities and private clients in all aspects of local government law matters. Kimberly Kopp has developed an extensive level of expertise and experience in development order applications, including comprehensive plan amendments, rezonings, plats, special exceptions, conditional use permits, and variances; development agreements for and with local governments; code enforcement and code enforcement lien foreclosure/collection; real estate transactions; contractor licensing issues; contract review and negotiations; ordinance drafting and interpretation; Public Records Act issues; Sunshine Law and ethics issues.
Kim attends various types of municipal board meetings as legal counsel, giving advice to City Council/Commissions, Code Enforcement Boards, Planning & Zoning Boards, Boards of Adjustment, Development Review Committees, and Charter Review Committees. She advises board members on all pertinent legal issues, including requirements of state laws and municipal codes, quasi-judicial procedures, compliance with Florida’s Sunshine Law, Public Records Law and Code of Ethics for Public Officers.
