Fishback Prevails in Litigation Challenging Location of Winter Park’s New Public Library and Civic Center

Fishback Dominick, led by attorneys Kurt Ardaman and Chris Conley, defeated legal challenges to the location of the City of Winter Park’s new Public Library and Civic Center in Martin Luther King, Jr. Park.  The Orange County Circuit Court rejected arguments against the park location in two separate proceedings.  One lawsuit validated a $30 million bond offering for the project approved by voters while, in the other, a panel of three judges dismissed an untimely referendum attempting to prohibit construction.

HuntonBrady will design the new library together with renowned architect David Adjaye, who designed the Smithsonian Institute’s new National Museum of African American History and Culture on the Mall in Washington, D.C.
